Pick a card with the picture of what you would like to buy and see how much it costs. Look at the play coins and banknotes in your wallet - work out which ones to use to pay and see if you can work out how much change the shopkeeper needs to give you too.

Counting and doing simple sums helps boost numeracy skills and as your child gets more confident, they will develop imagination skills as they play.
