Lay out all the counters and see how many different fruits and vegetables can you name. Can you group them together into the same colours on the matching baskets? Count how many of each colour there are. We can also have lots of fun learning about the different foods. Place the counters picture side down, choose your colour basket and take turns to turn over a counter to try and find all your matching colour foods. Shout out each fruit or veg as you turn them over. Who will fill up their basket first?
Matching up the foods and the coloured baskets encourages colour recognition and learning to count.
