Peppa Pig has been known for it’s charming and simple sense of humour, giving both children and adults alike plenty of laughs. Here are five episodes we recommend that are filled with humour and stand out in the series.
In the episode, George makes a new friend, Richard Rabbit, and they begin their friendship by bonding over their love for dinosaurs. However, the core of this episode is teaching these young friends how to play together and share. When asked if George wants to share his dinosaur with Richard he replies with a strong “No!” and the same goes for Richard. Mummy Pig tries to take George’s dinosaur and give it to Richard, once again, trying to teach them to share, George begins to cry and with the roles reversed, Richard also begins to cry.
Rebecca Rabbit and Peppa Pig step in as the ‘big kids’ and teach their younger siblings how to build sandcastles, once both George and Richard built their bucket towers, George cheekily hits Richard’s tower and Richard reacts by doing it to George. They once again end up in tears. The episode ends with Richard and George playing on the seesaw, the only game they can play without ending in tears!
Daddy Pig takes George and Peppa to work with him, and in the office, Mr Rabbit and Mrs Cat have their own desks where they complete very important tasks. Daddy Pig gives Peppa and George a little tour with Mr Rabbit showing them how to do his very important job. They must take a piece of paper with numbers from one box, stamp it, and place it in the second box. Peppa gives it a try and let’s loose with the stamping, stamping a paper 20 times and getting the ink all over the table.
They move onto Mrs Cat’s desk, where she mainly works on a computer, adding shapes to her document and printing it. George gives it a try, spamming the shapes button while Peppa manically spams the print button, causing several pages to print, covering the office floor with paper. At the end of the day, Peppa decides she likes Daddy Pig’s job the most as she gets to colour on the whiteboard!
Daddy Pig ends up getting involved in the “Fun Run” as Peppa makes a comment in front of the parents and Madame Gazelle, “But Daddy, you can hardly run at all!”. Daddy Pig replies, “Nonsense, I am an expert in running”. Madame Gazelle asks if any other parents want to participate in the “Fun Run”, but all the parents reply with a quick, “No thank you”. However, some of the parents were happy to donate just to see Daddy Pig run!
Daddy Pig had to practice for his run, but instead enjoyed eating several portions to keep giving him “energy”. He ends up going for a practice run with Peppa and George commenting, “This is easy!”, as he runs down hill. When Daddy Pig begins to run uphill, he slows down, begins to breathe heavily and turns bright red.
The episode is filled with several giggles and relatable moments. Daddy Pig takes on the big “Fun Race” and a quarter through the race, he shakily says, “Water…water”. After stopping for ice cream, Daddy Pig begins to sprint towards the finish line as a wasp chases him for his sweet treat!
The family visited the Mountain Beauty Spot and wait by the car for Mummy Pig to finish packing everything up. Daddy Pig repeatedly tosses the car keys up in the air and catches them, while George and Peppa ask to play with the keys Daddy Pig responds, “You can’t play with the car keys you might lose them”. Peppa points out that Daddy Pig is already playing with the keys and Daddy Pig replies, “But I am a grownup, I’m not going to lose them”.
Right after saying that, Daddy Pig drops the keys down a drain, resulting in the family unable to leave until they fetch the keys out. Daddy Pig tries several techniques from using a stick to using a fishing rod. He ends up having to rely on Mr Bull and his construction friends to dig up the drain and eventually retrieve the keys. Turning the Mountain Beauty Spot into the Cave Beauty Spot.
In this episode, all the children make masks while in the play group. Madame Gazelle set up several tables with different materials to make the masks colourful and fun. Peppa asks, “Can we use glitter?”. Madame Gazelle gasps and as her eye twitches says, “No glitter!”. Reiterating that she only just cleaned up all the glitter from the last event and labels glitter as an “menace” due to it getting everywhere.
After the children plea, Madame Gazelle crumbles and asks everyone to be very careful with the glitter. She then opens a door, that reveals a metal safe where the glitter is hidden. By the time home time came around, the parents go to open the main door and are attacked by a cloud of glitter with Madame Gazelle coming out to say, “Don’t panic, please remain calm, there was a glitter leak, but we have it under control now…”.
It was not under control, there was glitter everywhere.
