We hope you’ve enjoyed watching our brand-new TV advert. Hopefully you’re now officially in love with our star, Ray, as much as we are.

If you haven’t seen it yet, where have you been? Click here to watch the advert, learn all about Ray’s story (spoiler: it involves heartbreak), as well as access exclusive downloadable content.

…‘It Must’ve Been Love’…until it wasn’t

Like all of us at The Entertainer, you may have already found yourself singing along to the advert’s catchy soundtrack and timeless classic ‘It Must Have Been Love’. Originally sung by Swedish Pop duo Roxette, the track was re-recorded by English Indie musician Baxter Dury, exclusively for our advert.

Fun Fact: Although you may not be able to easily spot them in the advert, the set was actually decorated with items that had the lyrics to ‘It Must’ve Been Love’ on them. Try and spot the lyrical Easter Eggs in the behind the scenes shot below!

Behind the Scenes; toys, toys, more toys…and a very talented dog!

Filmed in a family home in Crystal Palace, London, the set was transformed into Ray and his girl’s world and dressed with hundreds of products from The Entertainer to bring the story to life.

Whilst Ray is undeniably the star of the advert, the story shows Ray’s girl playing with her new favourite toy, the Cliff Crawler Remote Control Car. Watch the advert again and see if you can spot any of our other products in the background….

Fun fact: If you look closely, there are illustrations of Ray all around the girls’ bedroom (after all, she was totally in love with him at one point). You may think these were drawn by an actual 7-year-old, but they were actually hand-drawn by talented members in the shoot’s Art Department team. Drawing in the style of a child is harder than you’d think!

You may have spotted an adorable dog who features in the full-length ad. This isn’t just any dog. This is a dog…with a real job. Wiley might just be the most talented dog we’ve ever met (he can do backflips!) and whilst you might not see all his tricks in our advert, he certainly kept us entertained on set.
