Hey! I’m…Ray, the ‘Hit’ Star from The Entertainer’s New TV Advert​

Ray has officially landed. With a bump.  

With his fluffy, colourful fur and one-of-a-kind look, Ray is the kind of toy you can’t help but love. But there is so much more to Ray than just a colourful appearance; he’s got a story and it might just tug at your heartstrings…  

Ray met his girl when he was given as a birthday present. Ray meets girl, girl meets Ray, both were smitten from the very very start. It’s a tale as old as time.  

He still remembers that day like it was yesterday; the excitement of waiting to be unwrapped, the anticipation of wondering if he’ll be liked and the hopeful feeling bubbling deep down that today might just be the BEST. DAY. OF. HIS. LIFE!!. He was right of course. It was love at first sight. From that day on, Ray was top dog, his girl’s favourite toy, the ONE! Ray quickly became her most-loved toy, always by her side and ready to be a part of all her adventures.  

They did everything together from tree climbing, decorating biscuits with icing and sprinkles (he liked that day) to tea parties with the other toys and he even held her hand and dried her tears when she had to have an ouchy plaster put on her knee after a fall.  

Everything in Ray’s life was simply perfect until one fateful Christmas morning when he woke up, alone, in the hallway. He could hear the hum of a remote control car and squeals of delight from his girl in the room next door. And that’s when Ray realised…*dramatic pause*…there was a NEW favourite toy in town!  

And even though this broke Ray’s little toy heart, he knew deep down that being the favourite was never going to last forever. It must have been love, but it’s over now…  

Kids, eh?  

More About Ray

This fluffy monster isn’t the complicated type. Ray loves the simple things in life like enjoying a bedtime story or diving into pie and mash (he says it would be his favourite dish if he could eat real food!). Ray is gruff but adorable and as long as he’s with his girl he doesn’t mind attending a tea-party or two. He might be heartbroken now, but Ray knows that one day his girl will fall in love with him all over again (and hopes by the New Year she will include him when she plays with her new remote control car!)  

And until then, he’ll wait for her.
